Where do fog and pollution start?

I captured this series of photographs for Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia in Sant Hipòlit de Voltregà, in the region of Osona, where we can appreciate both the morning fog and the smoke from industrial pollution.

Fog is a recurring phenomenon in the Osona region and, specifically, in the Plana de Vic. Ruins, sanctuaries, churches, castles, farmhouses and the mystery of the fog give a special touch to Voltreganès.

The circumstance is that the municipal term of Sant Hipòlit de Voltregà is completely surrounded by that of Masies de Voltregà. They have managed to create a Community of Municipalities of the Voltreganès.

In some areas, the popular "Pubilla de la Plana de Vic" is also known as "broma baixa". Basically, it's when a sea of fog comes down and covers everything.

It must be taken into account that the Osona region is the place in Spain with the most days of fog, approximately a hundred a year.
