The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) forecasts for today, Sunday, that the situation of instability will continue in large areas of the Peninsula, with the probability of showers and locally strong storms in the Pyrenees, the Cantabrian and Iberian mountains.
In the inner northern half, low clouds are expected in the far north and generally evolutionary cloudiness, with showers that will occasionally be accompanied by storms in the afternoon.
In the environments of the Cantabrian mountain range, upper Ebro, Iberian and Pyrenees, the showers will be more intense, without ruling out hail.
In an isolated and less probable way, they may also occur in the southwest of the northern plateau, in the central, eastern and southeastern mountains, and inland Mallorca.
They will also occur throughout the day, in Melilla in the early hours and, later but less likely, on the southeast coast of the Peninsula.
In general, rainfall tends to subside, except in the center of the northern and Cantabrian third, where it may continue at night.
Likewise, in the west of Galicia at the end of the day the cloudiness will increase, with showers and storms that will continue at night. In the Canary Islands there will be cloudy intervals on the mountainous islands, with occasional showers in the afternoon.
Morning mists in the west and around the Cantabrian mountain range; in the eastern Mediterranean area they are forecast in isolated inland areas, as well as coastal fog banks on the coast.
The maximum temperatures will register an increase in general, except in the Ebro basin and the Mediterranean coast, where they will decrease. It can exceed 32 degrees in the Guadalquivir, inland Levante and half of the Ebro.
The minimum, for its part, is decreasing in the west and Levante, but increasing in the rest and the Canary Islands.
The winds will blow from the west in the Strait and Gulf of Cádiz; Eastern component in the Cantabrian and weak in the rest of the country, with southwest in central hours on the Atlantic slope.
Galicia. Cloudy skies, with low clouds, mists, and inland mists in the morning, and evolution clouds from late morning. Rains and stormy showers are expected in the afternoon, which will be less frequent and intense in the far west and may be locally strong in the eastern half, especially in mountainous areas. Catalonia. Little cloudy sky with high clouds, tending to cloudy intervals of diurnal evolution in the afternoon. Estremadura. Slightly cloudy with high clouds, and evolving cloudiness in the afternoon, without ruling out some isolated showers, which will be more likely in the mountains, and which can occasionally be accompanied by storms. The minimum temperatures will have a slight decrease and maximums in a slight rise. The winds will blow light variables, with a predominance of the southwest and west in the central hours.
Madrid's community. Little cloudy skies with intervals of high clouds at the beginning and at the end, and evolutionary cloudiness in the central hours, especially in the mountains. Isolated showers in the mountains from noon, which could be stormy; In the rest, an isolated and occasionally stormy weak shower is not ruled out. Balearic Islands.
