Watch how the griffon vulture prepares its nest

The griffon vultures are already preparing the nest in the abysses of Les Avellanes i Santa Linya, La Noguera region, as can be seen in these photographs in La Vanguardia's Readers' Photos.

In the images I have captured you can see the griffon vultures flying and carrying the branches they are carrying to make their nest.

The griffon vulture is one of the few vultures that can be found in Europe along with the black vulture, the Egyptian vulture and the bearded vulture.

This bird can weigh up to 10 kilos and have a wingspan of 2.5 meters. In the snapshots we can see the detail of its wings deployed for flight.

The Balconet de Santa Linya is a viewpoint located on the top of the ridge to the right of the Camarasa marsh, 330 meters above the water, with an exceptional view of the reddish cliffs of Coscoll.
