The Valencian Vice President and Minister of Culture, Vicente Barrera, has included various aid in the department budgets to promote bullfighting. According to eldiario.es and confirmed by this newspaper, the former bullfighter has included a sum of 1.4 million euros of "aid for the revitalization of cultural and artistic activities and projects (music, cinema, theater, bullfighting, etc.)" .
In addition, it has allocated direct aid of 300,000 euros to the Toro de Lidia Foundation for "financing for the promotion and carrying out of bullfighting activities and celebrations." The Valencian vice president has always criticized the fact that bullfighting did not receive aid from the Valencian administration and promised to pay attention to this sector.
Vicente Barrera has also budgeted public money to the main entities that advocate linguistic secessionism and that question the regulations of the Valencian Academy of Language (AVL). Thus, for Lo Rat Penat he allocates a nominative subsidy of 50,000 euros; for the Royal Academy of Valencian Culture another 50,000 euros; for the Association of Writers in the Valencian Language, 18,000 euros, and for the Bernat i Baldoví Cultural Center, 10,000 euros.
