Valls begins the archaeological coves to recover the medieval wall of Sant Francesc

The Valls City Council has started the archaeological coves to advance the recovery of the medieval wall of Sant Francesc.

This Monday the technical team began to probe one of the three points planned around the San Sebastián fountain, which should allow us to know where exactly the wall passed.

This unknown section corresponds to the first phase of the project. The second phase includes the buildings on Francesc Street, from numbers 102 to 116.

The council assures that the drafting of the executive project could be completed in the summer of 2024 and they anticipate that the tender will begin in 2025.

The City Council trusts that the Next Generation will finance the entire action, which amounts to 2.8 million euros.
