The Valencia City Council will open the Lonja and the municipal museums of the city until midnight on the night of this Saturday, July 22, when the Great Nit de la Fira is celebrated.
Thus, citizens and visitors who wish to do so will be able to visit buildings as unique as the Lonja, the Corpus Museum-Casa de las Rocas, the City Museum, the Cervelló Palace, the l'Almoina Archaeological Center, the Benlliure House-Museum, the Blasco Ibáñez House-Museum, the History Museum and the Rice Museum until midnight.
Other institutions, such as the Ministry of Culture, the Generalitat and the Valencia Provincial Council, will also open their cultural centers located in the city until midnight. This is the case of the Museum of Fine Arts, the González Martí Ceramics Museum, the IVAM or the MUVIM, among others. With this measure, Valencians and tourists will be able to visit the most important cultural centers of Valencia at night.
The opening of the museums until midnight is added to the rest of the events planned for the Great Night of the Fira. Thus, this Saturday, July 22, there are musical performances planned at different points in the Carme neighborhood and there is also a parade scheduled, which will go through Tetuán square, Pau street, Reina square, San Vicente Mártir street, Maria Cristina avenue and Mercado square.
Likewise, there are all kinds of performances for lovers of the performing and musical arts. Thus, a choral performance is scheduled at the Palau de Cervelló; the interpretation of the singer Christian Penalba, in the Rice Museum; dance, in the Plaza de la Mare de Déu; jazz, in the Casa Museo Blasco Ibáñez; theater, in the Plaza del Mercado; swing, in the Museum of History; tabal and dolçaina music, in the Plaza de la Mare de Déu; and humor, in the Plaza de Pilar. There will also be a mini-mascletà at 11 p.m. in the Plaza del Mercat.
On Sunday, July 23, storytelling, workshops and music for children and families have also been programmed at the Cultural Center for Charity and visits to the exhibitions at the Valencian Museum of Ethnology and the IVAM. In addition, the Plaza Nova de l'Església in Benicalap hosts a performance by clowns and activities related to the world of the circus.
