Valencia becomes the setting for the new installment of a Star Wars series

A huge tent with several entrances, trucks full of audiovisual material being fully unloaded, boxes with what could be costumes for actors, groups of spotlights with an operator testing them and a crane with a platform to install cameras. These are film production resources that can already be seen between the gates of the Quatre Carreres de València sports center, very close to the Valencia City of Arts and Sciences complex. It is material that will be used for the filming of scenes from the second season of the Star Wars series "Andor", although other sources associated all this effort with new chapters of the Obi Wan Kenobi series.

Despite the enormous secrecy that has been imposed on this production, there are many sources, and evidence, that confirm much of this information. In fact, the production company has already hired the extras that will participate in the series after a selection process that has lasted several weeks. This newspaper has been able to speak with one of the discarded, named Toni: "they told us that it would be work for three weeks and at about 50 euros a day plus ten euros an extra hour to work from March 20 to April 6". In addition, some of the members of the technical team have already been seen these days of Fallas, as anticipated by Las Provincias.

One of the young people who will be an extra and who requests anonymity due to his confidential relationship with the producer comments that they were warned that "we had to be willing to wear makeup and prosthetics for a science fiction series, but they never told us which one it would be." . He adds that "they were looking for people of all ages, even very old people, and also with special characteristics such as very tall or very strong, both men and women."

Valencia, which has just passed the most participated Fallas in its history, is now pending what happens in a few days in the City of Arts and Sciences, where some trucks from the production company have begun to be installed. Nobody confirms anything, but the presence of Benjamin Bratt in the capital, according to Las Provincias, indicates that the filming of 'Andor" will begin shortly. It is a product that is part of the Star Wars franchise, it is a prequel to the film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, following the character Cassian Andor five years before the events of the film, and has been recognized for its quality.

"Andor" premiered on September 21, 2022 and consists of 12 episodes in its first season. The producer confirmed a second season, also of 12 episodes. Unofficial sources comment that the scenes that are recorded in Valencia will serve for chapters 4 and 6 of this season.
