Yesterday Universae inaugurated the largest vocational training institute in the world, a 13,000 m2 facility in Sant Joan Despí that strengthens its presence in Catalonia, where it already had a center in Cornellà de Llobregat. The inauguration was chaired by the mayor of Sant Joan Despí, Belén García, who was accompanied, among others, by Lieutenant Colonel Emilio Alegre, general secretary of the Defense delegation in Catalonia; the ambassador of Ecuador, Patricio Garcés; the consul of Mexico, Claudia Pavlovich; the vice consul of Morocco, Loubna Rai, and the deputy consul of Argentina, Erika Imhof.

The building is made up of two six-story blocks with a total of 81 spaces, including 47 workshops and laboratories, such as radiopharmacy and CT rooms, audiovisual production studio, assembly and post-production classroom, dental laboratory, emergencies and imaging laboratory for diagnosis. It also has 34 multipurpose classrooms, libraries, guidance offices and an outdoor training and practical simulations area.

The second Universae campus in Catalonia joins those in Madrid, Murcia, Mexico City, Quito, San José de Costa Rica and Bogotá.
