The Ukrainian armed forces launched an attack against a Russian brigade in Crimea, currently occupied territory, according to the Ukrinform agency, based on sources from the Ukrainian Security Service.
"The attack against the 126th brigade of the Russian Black Sea Fleet was a special operation carried out jointly by the intelligence of the Ukrainian Security Service and the Ukrainian Armed Forces," the aforementioned sources explained on Saturday.
They added that drones were used for the attack, without disclosing their exact number, and that it left damage to ammunition depots. The Security Service of Ukraine further announced more "surprises" for the occupying forces.
A group of 10 Ukrainian soldiers arrived on Thursday at Oleivk beach on the Mayak coast in what marked the first incursion by Ukrainian soldiers on Crimean soil in nine years.
