Two male minors, aged 16 and 17, died around 9:30 p.m. this Friday and another was seriously injured in a traffic accident that occurred in the municipality of the Pontevedra town of Marín, in the place known as Coirados, located in the provincial highway PO-313.
Sources from the Marín City Council have informed EFE that the accident involved two vehicles that suffered a head-on collision, one of them a Volkswagen Golf that was going up the sloping road and that after losing control collided with another that was descending. .
The two occupants of the rear seats of the Golf died at the same scene of the accident and are natives of Marín, a young woman who was traveling in the passenger seat was seriously injured and the driver, a 20-year-old young man, was not injured. The occupants of the other vehicle that was descending the road were not injured and are in good health.
The driver of the vehicle that caused the accident has tested negative for alcohol and drugs, and the Marín Local Police have taken charge of the accident investigation.
The Marín City Council "extremely" regretted the tragic event and has conveyed its condolences to the families of the victims.
