The Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested two men for robbing a hostel in Figueres at gunpoint.
The entry occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, December 13, when two hooded people dressed in dark clothes entered the establishment.
They did it taking advantage of the fact that the receptionist opened the door of the hostel to a client who was leaving. Once inside, the two assailants threatened the worker and made her go, violently, to the bar where there were five customers who were made to lie face down. Then they stole their cell phones and took the proceeds from the slot machine they broke into and the money from the cash register.
From that moment on, the Mossos began an investigation to try to find those responsible for the robbery and ended up arresting one of the assailants, as well as one of the clients who was in the premises and who was in charge of the robbery.
The other assailant managed to escape and now the Mossos are looking for him.
The agents arrested the two suspects, aged 28 and 29, between December 20 and 21, who have already been placed at the disposal of the duty judge of Figueres. The investigation remains open.
