Turull sends a note to the Junts management in which he disqualifies the PSOE-ERC agreement

Jordi Turull has sent a note to the executive of Junts per Catalunya in which he disqualifies the agreement reached yesterday by the PSOE and ERC for the investiture of Pedro Sánchez. Turull, who is in Brussels with Carles Puigdemont to negotiate with the PSOE envoy, Santos Cerdán, assures the leaders of his party that the Republicans have not taken as much as it seems from the socialists and asks for calm and confidence in the "hours and high-pressure days" ahead.

"Some parts generate perplexity," says Turull about the agreement signed yesterday by Minister Félix Bolaños and the leader of ERC, Oriol Junqueras. Specifically, he focuses on the transfer of Rodalies. The pact provides for the creation of a mixed company with equal representation in which the president will be appointed by the Generalitat and will have a casting vote, although strategic decisions will be decided by a qualified majority. Well then. Turull assures in his note that, despite this casting vote, there is a "veto right" of the Sánchez Government and asks: "Is there a precedent for this on earth? How do you eat that?" And he concludes: "The PSOE is a specialist in pouring water into wine." Hence the tweet that Puigdemont launched on Thursday night appealing to prudence, he justifies.

These statements come after the Republicans went ahead yesterday with an agreement that includes the transfer of Rodalies and the forgiveness of 20% of the Generalitat's debt with the FLA, a mechanism that was implemented during the great recession to finance the communities. autonomous. In principle, the socialists hoped to reach an agreement with Junts first and then close their commitments with ERC.

The general secretary of Junts justifies the delay in reaching an agreement by his party with the desire to include the maximum number of people affected by the amnesty law. "We will not leave any soldier stranded," he maintains. "We will not do an amnesty for VIPs," he insists. According to Turull, "there are many people here who have taken a gamble, who have not given up" who are being tried to be included in the standard.

In short, the Junts leader asks his people to "calm" and not let themselves be "dragged" by environmental pressure, in addition to maintaining "confidence" in the negotiation led by Puigdemont. "Hours and days of great pressure are coming," he warns. Although the PSOE maintains its desire to call the investiture for next week, Junts assures that there is no rush.
