Trufforum, the great truffle festival returns to Vic

The El Sucre fairgrounds in Vic will host, from February 1 to 4, a new edition of Trufforum, the truffle and gastronomy festival that this year has grown in space and activities.

For example, the area hosting the now traditional Fresh Truffle Market and truffled products has been expanded, as has the number of culinary demonstrations dedicated to this mushroom. The black truffle (Tuber Melanosporum) selected from different origins and territories will once again be the protagonist in this new edition.

Among the activities they propose this year, Martina Puigvert, from the two-starred Les Cols (Olot), stands out, who has recently been distinguished by the Michelin Guide 2024 as the best young chef in Spain. She has chosen the La Garrotxa volcanic truffle for her presentation.

Jordi Vilà, from Barcelona's Alkimia, for his part, will show some of the most ingenious recipes that can be prepared with truffle and game; and Arnau Paris, chef of TV3's Cuines space, will speak with fellow chef Rais Esteve about how to recover roots and origins with creativity, explaining what they are doing at the Molí La Vansa bottling company.

One more year, the “Truffle and Bubbles” activity will return to Trufforum, which on this occasion will be led by the writer Empar Molliner and the chef Nandu Jubany. In addition, the truffle festival held in Vic will once again host the Campionat Catalunya de Gossos Tofonaires, in which the dogs will show their best skills trying to find this culinary treasure.
