Travelperk has raised 95 million euros, 104 million dollars in a round led by the Japanese giant Softbank. Kinnevik and Felix Capital also participated in the capital increase. The operation is an extension of the 101 million round that was obtained in 2022.

According to a statement, the investment values the business travel platform at 1.28 billion euros, about 1.4 billion dollars. This milestone confirms for the second time that the Barcelona company is within the club of 'unicorn' companies, valued at more than 1,000 million. It was in 2022 when the company acquired this 'status' by raising another 101 million euros.

With this capital injection, TravelPerk will increase investment in its platform, betting on the customer experience with new inventory capabilities and launching business travel services, in addition to expanding product automation through artificial intelligence.

In 2023, the company increased revenue by more than 70% year-on-year although it does not specify the absolute revenue figure. According to the Commercial Registry, the company had a turnover of 35 million euros in 2022, compared to 91 million the previous year.

The company, led by founder Avi Meir, is committed to continuing to expand its workforce in Europe and the United States. Currently, it is made up of 1,200 people.

Nine years have passed since the birth of the business in an apartment in the Raval neighborhood, where Suárez and Meir decided to start together after their professional career on the Booking platform. Since then, Travelperk has gained thousands of customers around the world and aims to become the world leader in online business travel.
