They were going to create a fan club: this is how the scam of the fake Brad Pitt who promised to marry a woman from Granada was created

The Antena 3 space And now Sonsoles has addressed in Thursday's program one of the most mediatic scams of recent times. After returning from an advertisement, the presenter appeared behind a cardboard with the image of one of the most famous movie stars in the world, Brad Pitt.

Sonsoles Ónega reported live that a group of people posed as the American actor to defraud a woman from Granada, making her believe that the interpreter was willing to marry her. ''When the victim took her bait, they almost plucked her,'' the presenter said.

And it is that this group of criminals promised their victim a movie love to try to defraud 170,000 euros. The woman from Granada was chosen, after learning that she had received an inheritance. The deception began when the victim received an invitation to join the actor's fan club. The criminals posed as him and began to write emails to each other.

No one close to the woman knew anything about these facts, because the criminals themselves made sure that she did not tell anything, simply making her believe that Brad Pritt wanted to keep the relationship a secret. At one point in the scam, the woman was asked to send amounts of money of 6,000 euros and 35,000 euros to different bank accounts. These money transfers lasted 3 months and while the scammers were in charge of sending the victim "proofs of love".

And it is that they sent false messages from the actor to Granada. "Honey, I love you and I promise to pay you back well," were the words sent by criminals. Over the weeks, the victim was increasingly convinced of her fictitious relationship with the actor. The scam got to the point that the fake Brad Pitt asked her wife to marry him, promising her a wedding in Spain.

When the interpreter did not appear, the victim began to ask for explanations but the scammers went around the network again and posed as detectives investigating fraud. It was then that the woman realized everything and decided to put the case in the hands of a lawyer so that she could recover all her money.
