The Civil Guard rescued this Saturday an elderly woman who had been trapped in her home in Buenache de Alarcón (Cuenca), a town hit by floods caused by the passage of the Isolated Depression at High Levels (DANA) in the province, and where the water exceeded a meter in height.
Civil Guard sources have explained to EFE today that the rescue operation took place this Saturday in this town in Cuenca, where four Civil Guard patrols traveled.
According to a video released by the Benemérita, the old woman, named Felisa, had been trapped among the belongings of her home, where the water exceeded a meter and a half in height, as pointed out by the members of the operation, who helped her get out of the belongings by which it had been practically covered.
The agents reassured him and helped him get out of the house, in good condition. In addition to the rescued woman, several families also had to be evacuated from their homes due to the intensity of the water by the Civil Guard, who went to the place at 6:15 p.m. after receiving the notice.
Together with the Motilla del Palancar firefighters, the agents remained in the place until 9:30 p.m., according to the same sources, who have specified that this Sunday they have returned to the municipality to participate in the cleaning tasks.
