The Barcelona Court judges this Wednesday the teacher of an extracurricular activities center in Malgrat de Mar (Maresme), accused of sexually assaulting three students from the center, minors, between the years 2020 and 2022. The man would have been winning the trust of the girls from a year before the events by sending messages and organized up to seven meetings with them.
The majority were in early 2022, when up to three penetrative rapes occurred. The Prosecutor's Office is asking for sentences totaling 42 years in prison, in addition to restraining orders and disqualification from working with minors as soon as he can be released. Compensations of 50,000, 18,000 and 12,000 euros, respectively, are also set for the three victims.
The accused had been working at the school since 2017, but the events were limited between the years 2020 and 2022. According to the prosecution's account, the teacher began a "friendship relationship" with the three girls in 2019 and between 2020 and 2022 the He began to harass through WhatsApp and Instagram messages. The man told them about his sexual tastes and made advances.
Once he gained the girls' trust, he proposed to them to meet alone with the aim of having sexual relations with the girls. There were a total of seven meetings, according to the prosecution's brief on the matter. Penetrative rape occurred on three occasions.
The intensity of the meetings, in fact, went from less to more. On an undetermined day in 2020 he took one of the girls to the beach of Sant Pol de Mar to walk "as if she were her partner" and holding her by her waist. This fact, according to the prosecution's argument, caused "great discomfort and distress" to the minor.
In March 2021 he took another of the girls by car to an isolated area of Malgrat de Mar. There he touched her thigh and told her that "he was very clear about what he wanted." She assaulted the third girl at the beginning of 2022. She also took her by car, this time to an isolated area of Arenys de Munt. He hugged her and placed a kiss on her lips.
The first violation would occur in the same month of January 2022. He took one of the girls to a wooded area in Arenys de Munt and penetrated the minor in the back seats of her car "for a few minutes." The day after the events, the man gave the girl a pill 'the day after' to prevent a possible pregnancy.
Only two weeks later they met again in a parking lot in Arenys de Munt, where he kissed her on the lips "repeatedly." Three weeks later they met again in an isolated area of Pineda de Mar. The man penetrated her again and forced the girl to perform fellatio on him.
The last encounter was at the accused's house, in March 2022. He kissed her breasts and penetrated her again, according to the prosecution's brief. The man was arrested and since September 2022 he has been in provisional prison, accused of seven crimes of sexual assault.
