The Civil Guard has arrested three people, two men and a woman, between 34 and 61 years old, whom they accuse of exploiting a sophisticated marijuana plantation in a villa in El Campello (Alicante). The detainees have been placed at the disposal of the Court of Instruction No. 4 of Alicante, which has ordered their entry into provisional prison.

The agents received information indicating the possible existence of a marijuana plantation in the municipality of El Campello. After an analysis of the documentation obtained, according to the armed institute, they began the so-called Pain operation.

On November 9, once the existence of the marijuana plantation could be proven, the agents of the Main Post of the Civil Guard of El Campello, supported by the Citizen Security Unit of Torrevieja and the Aerial Media Unit of the Elx Local Police carried out a search of the home.

As a result of this search, they found inside a sophisticated marijuana plantation of about 300 plants, completely automated and prepared to be managed remotely. In addition, they found a bag with 625 grams of vacuum-packed marijuana buds perfectly prepared for transport. The agents arrested the three people responsible for the plantation, two men and a woman between 34 and 61 years old.

Furthermore, the agents verified that the connections necessary to supply the plantation were made directly in the tower, with the risk that this entails for the security of the facility.

On November 12, the three detainees, who are charged with the crimes of belonging to a criminal group, drug trafficking, electricity fraud and, one of them, in addition to falsifying documents, were placed at the disposal of the Investigative Court No. 4 of Alicante, who ordered his entry into provisional prison.
