They ask for 4 years in prison for a man for spending 40,000 euros with his foster father's card

A man faces a request for 4 years in prison after being accused of taking advantage of the trust of his foster father to make purchases of almost 40,000 euros with the latter's bank card, without his knowledge.

According to the Valencian Superior Court of Justice (TSJCV), the public prosecutor considers that there has been a continuous crime of fraud to the detriment of the foster father, who at the time of the events was 85 years old.

The defendant used the relationship of trust he had with the person who had been his foster father since he was five years old to, between October 2020 and June 2021, access the bank card and enter all his data into a payment platform, from which it made up to 675 charges for an amount greater than 38,000 euros corresponding to online purchases.

The trial for these events is scheduled for this Friday starting at 10 a.m. in Section Ten of the Provincial Court of Alicante.
