Ski resorts face Easter with optimism. The last and most important snowfalls of the winter have revived the pulse. After a winter of little snow, the white business sees the light at the end of the tunnel. Easter reservations have more than increased and there is confidence in last-minute bookings.
The cold and snow have sparked the interest of fans. Nacho Vallina, CMO of Esquiades.com explains that “the intense snowfalls have helped generate an increase in reserves, which have grown by 20% compared to last year.” The stations have the best thicknesses of the entire winter with up to 320 cm, the descents have been expanded and Nordic skiing has reopened. “With good prices for the last getaway, skiers can see the status of the resorts live,” he adds.
While waiting for some resorts to extend the season beyond April 7, the last snowfall on the slopes of FGC-La Molina, Vallter, Núria, Espot, Port Ainé and Boí Taüll – this one with 240 cm – has been very generous . With 88% of the descents open, parallel activities will share the bill at Easter. Of note are the retractable outings or the children's parties in Núria, live music or the Easter egg gymkhana in La Molina or the closing party in Vallter.
Masella, with a snowfall that left a Christmas image, will start Easter at a pedal pace. With 100 cm of powder snow and a closure planned until well into spring, skiers will be able to warm up their legs on March 23 with the 1st Spinning d'Altitut, at the Möod Masella.
With a good season, Baqueira faces the end with almost two meters of snow and almost all of the descents open. Not in vain, it plans to open its 24 track restoration points. As après-ski, skiers will have a date every afternoon at the Moët Winter Lounge, in Orri, the 1500 bar or the Drinkery Sports Bar at the Montarto hotel.
Grandvalira Resorts received a spectacular snowfall last weekend. For this reason, Ordino extends the season until April 14. Early risers will be able to enjoy the First Snow activity in Soldeu at Easter – solo skiing with breakfast included. Unconditional fans will be able to ski on the Tubs del Pas de la Casa slope at night, without forgetting the snowmobile outings through Grau Roig.
Led by Grandvalira Mountain Guides, there will also be snowshoeing and mountain skiing outings. One of the most emblematic is the Mirador Solar de Tristaina. Families have a date at the Mon(t) Magic Family Park in Canillo, with a mountain slide and zip line. Meanwhile, the Kid's Zip and Big Zip sleds or zip lines or the Big Airbag will continue in Pal Arinsal.
