The murdered young man whose body was found burned inside his own car in Cornellà was going to fire his partner and alleged murderer from work. That is the reason that would have triggered the crime. This is stated in the order of the judge to which La Vanguardia has had access and who yesterday decreed provisional prison for Albert Negre, 29 years old, being investigated for the crime of homicide.
The deceased, Ricard Guirao, showed up at 12 noon last Monday at the apartment where Albert Negre lived in Sant Joan Despí to fire him from his job after detecting that he "had deceived him in the business they were going to open together." The victim was the owner of Telemaki in Sant Feliu, a business selling Japanese food at home, and he employed his friend as a delivery driver. In addition, both planned to open a restaurant business to offer sushi, during the day, and alcoholic beverages, at night, in a place called La Terraza, which is owned by the accused. To do this, they had a company set up but that did not bear fruit after encountering several municipal obstacles. That day the victim was also going to inform his partner that they were dissolving the company and canceling the project.
According to the car, in the apartment, the two young men got into a fight that ended with Guirao's death. It is suspected that Negre hit his partner with a vase, the pieces of which were scattered on the floor. The body had two severe blows to the head. The defendant also had injuries to his back and forehead. Investigators have been able to follow the trail of blood to reconstruct the steps taken by the alleged murderer. The accused entered the victim's Seat Ibiza into the patio of his house, which serves as a parking lot, and loaded the body into the trunk. Around 1:30 in the morning he drove 800 meters from his house and set it on fire. However, he did not calculate that the lack of oxygen and the closed doors prevented the flames from spreading and burning the vehicle.
At that time the victim's family had already filed a complaint with the Mossos for the disappearance of Ricard Guirao and they had already pointed out Albert Negre as responsible. The agents went to look for Negre at his house. There they saw how the accused left the parking lot at 7 in the morning in the direction of Leroy Merlin in Sant Feliu. There he bought paint with the intention of hiding the blood stains on the walls of his house. The Mossos stopped him on the highway where he was detained.
The Mossos homicide group searched the arrested man's house and found traces of blood in several areas of the house and discovered that he had covered the door frames with painter's tape.
When the victim's family and friends were anxiously looking for Ricard after several hours without hearing from him, they called Negre. He first responded that he didn't know anything because he had woken up late, and then that he might have seen it but he didn't remember. Yesterday, he refused to testify but only said that he left at 1:30 in the morning to help find his friend. The Mossos believe he went out at night to set the car on fire.
