An acquaintance of the deceased approached the victim's home on Tuesday to inform the agents that someone was using the priest's cell phone to impersonate him, according to eyewitnesses and reported by Europa Press.

The property's doorman found the body on Tuesday morning at the victim's home, after which the police force was launched. According to Las Provincias, the body, which had signs of violence, was found in the bed of his home on Avellanas Street.
