On the pillars of the bridge that passes over Avenida de la Riera Blanca, on the border between Barcelona and L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, we can find these curious totem-type representations, some of which we see in this photographic report in Las Fotos de The Readers of La Vanguardia.

They were installed in 2019 and it is one of those unknown corners of our city, but it is worth visiting to admire these urban decorations.

In total, we find 16 colored columns with cultural motifs from different parts of the world that support three bridges with different tracks: the one for metro line 1, the one that leads to the Santa Eulàlia workshops and another for Rodalies de Renfe.

It is an artistic initiative of the collective of artists La TONAL'H, with the collaboration of the city councils of Barcelona and L'Hospitalet de Llobregat.

It arose as an artistic intervention carried out on Riera Blanca street to decorate the columns of the bridge at the exit of the Santa Eulàlia metro stop (L1) with eight totems.

The project, financed 50% by both municipalities, consisted of covering the concrete columns with totems made of wood, iron, paint and recycled materials that symbolize that both border cities have been created "from the mixture of cultures.
