In this series of photographs in La Vanguardia's Readers' Photos we can see how two typical phenomena of the Osona region come together at this time of year: fog and the passage of storks on their migratory route to the north. In this case, we see a group in Manlleu.

In some areas, the fog or Pubilla de la Plana de Vic is also known as "baixa joke". Basically, it's when a sea of fog comes down and covers everything.

It must be taken into account that the Osona region is the place in Spain with the most days of fog, a hundred a year. The phenomenon can last days or even weeks if conditions are favorable.

Storks are migratory, but there are more and more of them, probably due to climate change or because they find areas where they know they will have access to food.

The white stork (Ciconia ciconia) is a large species of bird. Its plumage is mostly white with black on the wings. And the legs and beak of adults acquire a red color.

It measures an average of 100 and 115 cm from the tip of the beak to the end of the tail, and its wings can reach a span between 155 and 215 cm.
