The weather forecast for the Valencian Community announces a DANA for this weekend that can unleash stormy episodes on the coast, with an obvious risk of producing scenes already experienced in this geography such as floods. The situation has continued throughout the summer, a period of enormous risk for the Emergency area due to fires, "bous al carrer" parties or music festivals, to the despair of these institutional positions who wanted to be dismissed once the new executive of the PP and Vox. The hope is that next Tuesday, September 5, in the first plenary session of the Consell after the holidays, the head of Justice and the Interior proposes to the people that they replace those who still remain from the previous executive of Ximo Puig.
President Carlos Mazón announced this week that several appointments will be made in that plenary session, without specifying which areas they will affect. The Ministry of Justice and the Interior is one of the most in need, as it remains unresolved up to a total of seven positions between institutional positions, advisers and the press team.
The regional secretary for Emergencies and the general director of the Interior, José María Ángel and Salvador Almenar, asked the minister in writing in the last week at the end of July to sign their resignations and designate those who will hold their functions in the new government. Both are people with extensive experience in Emergencies who were appointed by the previous government of the Botànic.
However, throughout the month of August that ends today, they have been forced to remain at their posts. They cannot resign because article 17 of Law 5/1983 of the Valencian Government in which it details that among the functions of the Consell is that of "appointing and removing the senior positions of the Administration of the Generalitat, at the proposal of the corresponding conseller" .
Sources from the Generalitat tell this newspaper that the problem is that all decisions on new public positions in areas managed by Vox must be previously approved by the national leadership of Santiago Abascal's party. In fact, some positions in the Valencian administration of Vox are people who have directly come from Madrid to work in Valencia.
