The president of the General Council of the Judiciary, Rafael Mozo, has accepted this Friday the resignation of the position presented by the progressive member María Concepción Sáez, given the "unsustainable" situation that the body is experiencing, which has expired since December 2018, according to The governing body of the judges has reported.

Mozo, as detailed by the CGPJ, has accepted the resignation in accordance with article 582.1 of the Organic Law of the Judiciary, which establishes that "the members will only cease their positions during the five years for which they were appointed, as well as by accepted resignation” by the president of the governing body of the judges.

This resignation will take effect on April 1, with gratitude for the services provided and recognition of his dedication and professionalism during the long period in which he has carried out his duties, "says the decree signed by Mozo.

Concepción Sáez Rodríguez has a degree in Law and a Diploma in Criminology from the Complutense University of Madrid, as well as a Diploma in Family Law. Between 1980 and 1984 she was a practicing lawyer at the Madrid Bar Association (ICAM).

After gaining access to the Body of Lawyers of the Administration of Justice in 1989, he served in the Courts of First Instance and Instruction of Almansa (Albacete), Alcorcón (Madrid) and Santa Coloma de Gramanet (Barcelona), and in Madrid in the Court Criminal No. 20, Contentious-Administrative No. 1 and Instruction No. 37.

Adviser to the Center for Legal Studies from 2007 to 2008, in 2011 she began to work as an adviser to the Management of the General Judicial Mutual Fund, of which she was appointed manager in September 2018, a position in which she ceased in 2020. She is currently destined in Section 6 of the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the National Court.

During his tenure in the General Council of the Judiciary, he has been a member of the Economic, Permanent and Equality Affairs Commissions.

In her resignation letter, Concepción Sáez claimed to request her resignation "the inability to make certain decisions in the ordinary exercise of the powers of this body while calling for the recovery of improper powers of a Council in office", something that , he wrote, "has ended up exhausting my patience."
