The National SME of the Year Award 2022 from Banco Santander and the Chamber of Spain already has finalists

Fernández-Vega Ophthalmological Institute, S.L. from Asturias; Avs Added Value Industrial Engineering Solutions S.L.U of Guipúzcoa; Civic Software S.L. from Granada; Grupo R Queraltó from Seville and Bodega Matarromera S.L. de Valladolid are the five finalist companies that compete for the 2022 National SME of the Year Award, an award convened by Banco Santander and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce.

In addition to the National SME of the Year Award, four second prizes will be awarded. In the Internationalization category, the finalists are: Padel Courts Deluxe S.L. from Alicante; Palma Pictures Tmpc S.L. from the Balearic Islands; Nutris Ingredients S.L. de Madrid and Fama Sofas S.L.U. of Murcia. In the Innovation and digitization category, Biowair Total Systems S.L. from Asturias; Greenfield Technologies S.L. from Badajoz; Biotech Foods S.L. de Guipúzcoa and Abora Energy S.L. from Zaragoza.

The Second Prize for Training and Employment will be competed for by Vegenat, S.A of Badajoz; Solideo Eco Systems S.L. from Barcelona; Soluciones Cuatroochenta SA of Castellón and Inkor S.L. from Guipuzcoa. For its part, the Sustainable SME award will go to one of these four SMEs: Acctia Medioambiental S.L. from A Coruña; Bealar S.L. from Cuenca; The Alegre Farmer S.L. of Las Palmas and Cajamir S.L. from Zamora.

The jury that will choose the winners will be chaired by the President of the Chamber of Spain, José Luis Bonet, and will include Ángel Rivera, CEO of Santander Spain and Asier González Linaza, Director of Companies of Santander Spain; the general director of the Chamber of Spain, Inmaculada Riera; the director of Cinco Días, Amanda Mars; Juan Cantón, General Director of Prensa Prisa Media; and the president of the SMEs Commission of the Spanish Chamber, Isabel Puig Ferrer, in her capacity as secretary of the jury.

The award, which Banco Santander and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce convene annually, recognizes the performance of small and medium-sized Spanish companies, key to creating employment and wealth at the local level. In this sixth edition of the SME of the Year Award, 1,766 companies from 50 provinces and the autonomous city of Ceuta registered. 49 Chambers of Commerce and 13 Banco Santander territorial delegations have participated in its organization.
