Minimum temperatures have risen significantly this morning in some parts of the Valencian Community, where they have increased up to 9.7 degrees compared to the previous day, and thermometers have reached 18.5 degrees in Miramar (Valencia).
According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), in the province of Castellón there has been a slight decrease in the minimum temperatures in inland areas, where 8.2 degrees have been recorded in Castellfort (-1.2); 9 in Vilafranca del Cid (-1); and 9.9 in Morella (-0.7), while in Castelló they have risen 9.5 degrees to 16.5.
In the province of Valencia there have also been notable increases in minimum temperatures, and the thermometers have marked 18.5 degrees in Miramar (9); 16.3 in Valencia (6.3); 15.9 in Xàtiva (8); 15.2 in Polinyà del Xúquer (6.3); 14.7 in Llíria (8.3); 13.9 in Manises (5.4); 9.7 in Utiel (6.8); and 5.5 in Ademuz.
In the southern regions, the minimum temperatures were 17.5 degrees in Alicante (9.7 degrees more than the previous day); 15.1 in Xàbia (4.5); 14.7 in Alcoi (2.2); 13 in El Altet (6.3); 12 in Pinoso (8); and 4.8 in Villena.
According to the State Meteorological Agency, the Valencian Community has started the week with cloudy intervals and gusts of wind. This day dawned with morning mists in inland points of the northern half and moderate wind from the west and southwest, occasionally strong and without ruling out very strong gusts in inland points of Valencia in the central hours.
Minimum temperatures will suffer a general rise and maximum temperatures will drop in the southern half and there will be no changes in the rest. Thus, the city of Alicante will record a minimum of 16ºC and a maximum of 22; that of Castelló, 13 and 23; and that of Valencia, 15 and 24ºC.
