In The Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia we can see the Great Heron flying with the branch in its beak to rebuild the nest, in Les Masies de Voltregà, Osona region.
Like every year, the gray herons have arrived to settle on the banks of the Ter River. They are mating and building or rebuilding nests.
There is a viewpoint in Les Masies de Voltregà from which they are not disturbed while observing them in their natural habitat, since the nests are located on the other side of the river and in the municipality of Torelló.
In the images you can also see a couple in the nest and also mating. And you can follow all their activity from the viewpoint and take photos to document it.
Gray herons breed in colonies, usually in tall trees near water. In this area, specifically, they take advantage of the Ter River.
