The magical silence of autumn in Conangles

I share in La Vanguardia Readers' Photos this photograph taken in the Conangles forest, in the Vall d'Aran, a beautiful place, full of colors and life.

This snapshot demonstrates that in the magical silence of the autumn forest, nature reveals its most sublime art. Located at the southern mouth of the Vielha tunnel, it is one of the most important natural strongholds of beech and fir trees on the Iberian Peninsula.

In autumn, the red and brown tones of these trees draw a splendid landscape, bathed by the Noguera Ribagorzana river, which runs between the thick trunks of the century-old fir trees and provides humidity that allows the growth of mushrooms in autumn.

Two beautiful itineraries leave from the refuge of Conangles. One towards the waterfall and the Estany de Besiberri, surrounded by the Besiberri Norte and the Besiberri Sur, two of the three miles of the Aragüestortes and Estany de Sant Maurici National Park.

The other path climbs above the Hospital de Vielha, dividing towards the Molières valley, to the southwest, and towards the Port de Rius, to the north.
