The institute lowers the ERE to 115 dismissals and imminently closes the WeLab center

The Leitat technological institute reached an agreement with workers this Monday to reduce the ERE from 160 to 115 layoffs. Sources close to the foundation that operates the center assure that the workers “supported the reduction” and that, for this reason, “this Monday they suspended the strike that they had called for today.”

Currently, Leitat receives public and private contributions and is led by several representatives from the technological and business world. Specifically, Jordi Cabrafiga is the general director, Jordi William Carnes is the president and Joan Parra and Francesc Roca (Finish) are vice presidents. Representatives of the Generalitat and industrial and textile associations of Terrassa are also present on the board of directors.
