Acciona has completely stopped the activity of its hydroelectric power plant in Rialb (Lleida) at the request of the Ebro Hydrographic Confederation, the body that manages this reservoir, which this Wednesday stands at 6.78% of its capacity when a year ago it exceeded 49%.
Sources from Acciona have reported that the strike at the plant, which began days ago, has been definitively completed today. It is the first time that this has happened since at least 2009, when Acciona began operating in this swamp.
The plant has two turbines capable of generating 24.8 and 5.9 megawatts (MW) per day, respectively. The energy that cannot be produced with this plant will be supplied with other sources, as indicated by the company.
The Rialb reservoir is the one in the worst condition in Catalonia: the internal basins of the community, managed by the Catalan Water Agency, are at 39% of their capacity (a year ago, at 74.2%). , while those that depend on the Ebro Hydrographic Confederation stood at 41.82% (66% twelve months ago).
