The Generalitat of Catalonia offers more than 200 professional certificates from 26 different families to train and specialize in a profession. Professional certificates are a quality training offer, which is taken in small groups and includes an internship period in the company. These are short training sessions, mostly between 200 and 600 hours. In addition, they are an official qualification that is valid throughout Spanish and European territory.
Each professional certificate accredits a professional qualification from the National Catalog of Professional Qualifications. They can be taken throughout the year through the SOC's own centers (CIFO), collaborating entities of the FPCAT System, as well as in vocational training centers of the Department of Education.
Apart from obtaining a professional certificate once the training has been completed, qualifications can also be obtained through the accreditation of professional skills. This is a procedure to evaluate and accredit the skills acquired as a result of professional experience or non-formal training, that is, training that does not provide a certification with official value.
For the professional exercise of some jobs in certain sectors, such as the dependency care sector, sports, the application of biocides, or industrial facilities, it is essential to previously obtain the document that certifies competence. professional of the working person.
This documentation can be a professional certificate, a vocational training title, or other types of professional cards that accredit professional qualification.
