The transparency portal of the Generalitat Valenciana, GVA Oberta, received one million visitors last year. Which makes it one of the most visited transparency portals in all of Spain. Now this initiative, aimed at promoting transparency, access to public information and good governance within the Valencian public administration, has renewed its image and content with the aim of further improving the data it offers to citizens with a single click.
Among the contents that can be found in GVA Oberta, data on government action is included, such as Consell meetings and institutional declarations, as well as detailed information on the organization of the Generalitat, which covers aspects such as the organizational structure, guides departments, collegiate participation bodies and social responsibility.
The renewed transparency portal of the Generalitat Valenciana is thus opened to citizens through a more modern, simple and accessible image that guarantees real access to public information.
In addition, it also includes new search engines for agendas, trips and gifts received and given by senior officials and members of the Consell, which allows the information to be consulted and located more easily, both in general terms for the entire Consell, as well as by departments or by senior official. , in addition to by type of event or even by destination.
Another novelty that the General Directorate of Transparency has implemented, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Information Technologies, is to facilitate information searches. For example, the new search engines allow you to see in detail whether an event is associated with a trip or a gift.
The new portal has also introduced the publication of the minutes and a search engine for the agreements of the Plenary of the Consell and allows consultation by approval date, title, legislature, proposing department, type of agreement and procedural type. In addition, the presentation has been changed and a link has been added to the press releases of the Generalitat related to the agreements approved in the Consell sessions.
To guarantee and coordinate these functions, each Consell department and each instrumental public sector entity has a specific unit dedicated to transparency, access to public information and open data. These units are regulated and have the responsibility of coordinating transparency actions, collaborating with the competent management center, disseminating and supervising information, and keeping track of all requests for access to information, among other functions.
