The Fairs and Festivals of Sant Narcís de Girona, which will be held between October 27 and November 5, will have more than 200 activities spread over the different neighborhoods of the city.
Although the Devesa park and nearby areas and the Barri Vell concentrate most of the acts of the cartel, this year neighborhoods such as Sant Narcís, Pont Major, Pla de Palau-Sant Pau, Vila-roja, Sant Daniel, Mercadal, Montilivi , Brothers Sàbat or Sant Eugènia join the party with children's activities.
"This year's Fires are characterized by decentralization, by bringing the party closer to the entire city," said Deputy Mayor Quim Ayatas, who also highlighted "the reinforcement" of popular culture events.
In the absence of knowing the name of the crier, which has not yet been announced, the festival will start on October 27 with the proclamation and will end on November 5 with the traditional castle of fires.
Among the popular culture activities, the climb of pillar 4 of the Marrecs de Salt by the stairs of the Cathedral stands out; the correfuegos, the tour of cabezudos through the Old Quarter, the meeting of giants or the castle day.
As usual, on November 2 there will be an economic day (2x1) starting at 5 p.m. at the attractions and on October 30 it will be the turn of the public with special needs, such as children with autism spectrum disorders, who will be able to enjoy the wheelies without visual or sound stimuli in the morning (from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.) and in the afternoon (from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.).
In the esplanade of the Cup, which is the epicenter of the night party, groups such as Zoo, Ginestà, La Fúmiga, Auxili and the participants of Eufòria, Mariona Escoda and Triquell, among others, will parade.
