The Firefighters of the Generalitat have stabilized the fire that started this Tuesday in a forest area of Perelló (Tarragona) by a burning car and 17 crews are currently working on it, sources from the force have informed Europa Press.
They received the notice at 4:33 p.m., 10 water trucks and seven light and coordination vehicles are working at the site, and the aerial means have already withdrawn.
The same sources have explained that Agents Rurals has estimated the affected area at 2.57 hectares and that no people have been affected.
At first, the Firefighters pointed out that the fire burned "at high intensity and generated secondary outbreaks." The fire has reached the crest of the mountain and they feared it would spread to the right flank.
"The weather conditions, due to the wind that blows in the area, make the work of the air resources difficult," they indicated.
