The fire in Valencia de Alcántara (Cáceres) presents a favorable evolution

The forest fire that broke out last Monday afternoon in the municipality of Valencia de Alcántara (Cáceres) presents a favorable evolution early today, Wednesday, although it maintains the level 1 danger level due to its proximity to isolated houses.

This has been reported by the Junta de Extremadura in a statement, in which it specifies that 22 troops deployed in three land units, one heavy machinery, two natural environment agents and three INFOEX Plan technicians are currently working in the area.

This fire, which remains active although stabilized since yesterday, had already burned some 350 hectares last night, according to estimates by the Government of Extremadura.
