The kitchen of a restaurant in the Plenilunio shopping center in Madrid caught fire last night although there were no serious injuries and only four people - due to cases of mild smoke inhalation, falls and anxiety attacks - had to be treated by the emergency services. Emergencies 112.
After receiving the call after 8:00 p.m., Madrid Firefighters went to the scene and, despite quickly controlling the flames, ordered the evacuation of the center as a preventive measure.
David Ramos, duty officer of the Madrid Fire Department, explained that the fire spread "through the smoke extraction system" and advanced through the "filters that were on the deck."
Social networks have been filled with videos of the event, both of the intense column of smoke, visible from various points in the capital, and of the evacuation of those present there.
