The falla L'Antiga de Campanar, first prize of the Special Section of the Fallas of Valencia

The falla Monestir de Poblet-Aparicio Albiñana (L'Antiga de Campanar), made by the artist Josué Beitía, won this Saturday the first prize of the Special Section of the Falls of Valencia with the monument "Climate change".

The award was announced, in an event that began at 8:00 p.m., by the Fallera Central Board in which its president, Santiago Ballester, read the classification with the list of awards.

An appearance lasting more than an hour and a half and in which there was an interruption of more than 30 minutes, after which the awards for Section One A and the Special Section were read.

The L'Antiga de Campanar monument has had a budget of 170,000 euros and its theme, under the title "Canvi Climátic", makes us reflect on this issue "despite the deniers" and without considering it a "passing issue".

The artist Josué Beitía, with the design by Carlos Benavent and the script by Miguel Prim, has reflected the four seasons that have been reduced to two by the phenomenon of climate change and refers to the temperatures that rise without stopping; to the autumn and spring that have run out of space and to the species that are in danger of extinction.

The second prize in the Special Section went to the Exposició-Micer Mascó falla, by the artist David Sánchez Llongo and with a budget of 182,000 euros. Under the title "Sensitive", the monument features a woman who, as a source of life, invites us to better understand the senses.

In third place is the "Vudú" of the Plaza del Pilar falla, with a budget of 175,000 euros and by the artist Paco Torres Josa. The fourth prize went to the Sueca-Literato Azorín falla and the fifth went to Cuba-Literato Azorín.
