Police in the state of Victoria, southeastern Australia, confiscated a Lego collection during an anti-drug operation in Melbourne that resulted in the arrest of a man.
A collector's model of the Millennium Falcon, from the Star Wars film saga, whose value amounts to 850 dollars (about 780 euros) - according to the official website - is among the 74 Lego boxes, several of which are limited edition, seized by authorities during the operation. Investigators will allege that these products are the result, and obtained, of the money obtained from the crime they live off.
This Thursday, teams from Australia's anti-narcotics department simultaneously raided five premises located in Melbourne with the aim of dismantling a drug production mafia.
During this operation, a 45-year-old man was arrested and charged this Friday in front of a Melbourne Court for several crimes, including drug trafficking.
During the searches, the Police found 180 kilos of the substance 1,4-butanediol, a precursor for the production of GHB or liquid ecstasy, valued at 600,000 Australian dollars (about 400,000 US dollars or more than 360,000 euros).
The authorities also seized other substances used to manufacture drugs, as well as a gun and several luxury watches, details the Australian Police.
This is not the first time Victoria Police have confiscated valuable Lego collections.
In November, authorities seized around 1,130 boxes, valued at more than 200,000 Australian dollars (more than 131,000 US dollars or 120,000 euros), during a raid on a Melbourne methamphetamine laboratory.
