A woman has died in a traffic accident in Fogars de la Selva (Jungle), as reported by the Servei Català de Trànsit. The events occurred on Monday night on the GI-512, specifically at kilometer 4.1.
For reasons that are being investigated, there was a collision between two passenger cars. As a result of the impact, the driver and sole occupant of one of the two vehicles died. The victim was 41 years old and was a neighbor of Vilassar de Mar (Maresme).
The woman who was driving the other car, who was also traveling alone, was seriously injured and was taken to the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital in Badalona.
The Mossos d'Esquadra received the notice at 10:19 p.m. As a result of the incident, four police patrols, seven units of the Generalitat Fire Brigade and two ambulances of the Medical Emergency System (SEM) were activated.
Regarding the road affectation, the road had to be cut in both directions. The situation was normalized at 01:27 hours.
With this victim, there are already 38 people who have died on Catalan roads so far this year.
