The circulation of long-distance trains in Atocha has been recovered after solving a breakdown

Once again problems in the surrounding areas and consequently in Atocha. And Madrid becomes a transport chaos: people who do not arrive at their workplace or citizens who travel to other cities and do not even know when their long-distance train is going to leave.

An incident in the infrastructure has caused significant delays in the frequencies of commuter trains on lines C-3 and C-3a in the center of Madrid, as reported by Adif on its social networks.

Added to this incident is another that occurred tonight: a breakage of a pantograph is causing significant delays at Atocha station on trains bound for Madrid Puerta de Atocha, reports Telemadrid. However, around 8:40 a.m. the long-distance trains are already beginning to operate at the emblematic Madrid station with some normality.

Adif reports that the fault was being resolved and that work was being done to resolve the incident as soon as possible. The breakdown has caused numerous incidents also on long-distance routes. Even some long-distance trains were not entering Atocha. Adif has reported that there are significant delays in the train schedules of the Madrid-Valencia high-speed line and that the incident affects all trains entering or leaving Atocha, but does not specify anything else.

Citizens have not stopped complaining about the lack of information from Adif and even the Madrid president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has taken the opportunity to request more investments from the central government.

Hundreds of passengers have remained trapped inside the carriages and denounced the lack of information on the part of Adif, which did not specify an estimated departure time for the trains.
