The Chinese company Shanghai Jinggingrong Garment will install a plant in Ripollet, in Vallès Occidental (Barcelona) and will create around thirty jobs. This is the first production plant that the textile company will open abroad and will involve an investment of three million euros. The forecast is that the manufacturing of products can begin during the first half of 2024.

In a statement, ACCIÓ, the Government's competitiveness agency, has highlighted the "growing" investment of Chinese companies in Catalonia in recent years.
Specifically, in the last five years they have invested 1,164 million euros in projects that have led to the creation of more than 2,100 jobs. Currently there are 114 subsidiaries of Chinese companies established in Catalonia.
