The charm of the low fog of Anoia

In the Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia we can admire these scenes of low fog in the fields and crops of the Anoia region on a ghostly winter morning, but, at the same time, charming.

In meteorology, low fog refers to the suspension of small water droplets that produce visibility of less than 1 km.

It is a meteorological phenomenon that consists of very low clouds, near or at ground level, as seen in these images, and formed by small-volume water particles in suspension.

After extracting the data collected in the Pujalt Observatory since 2004 and also the data recorded in the Igualada City Council and interrelating them, it was found that only one in every five days when there is fog in Pujalt is this phenomenon also recorded in Equalizer.

Furthermore, it has been proven that, in Conca d'Òdena, on days when there is fog the wind is calm or blowing very lightly and, on the other hand, in Alta Anoia the fog occurs with winds of 10 km/h to 20 km/h. h on average.

It must also be taken into account that one of the most curious fog phenomena in Alta Anoia is the so-called gebrating (frosting) fog.
