The CGPJ files the judge who called Pedro Sánchez a "psychopath"

The Permanent Commission of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) has agreed this Wednesday to correct the promoter of the body's disciplinary action and order him to open a disciplinary file against Judge Manuel Ruiz de Lara, who called the president of the court a "psychopath without ethical limits." Government, Pedro Sánchez.

As sources from the governing body of the judges have confirmed to Europa Press, the members of the Permanent Commission have adopted this decision after the promoter of the disciplinary action agreed to archive the proceedings against the judge due to the impossibility - once the account was eliminated of the social network - to verify both the reality of the reported messages, whose authorship has not been acknowledged by the magistrate, and to determine to what extent he made known his status as a member of the Judiciary.

The measure - which has been adopted unanimously, according to the aforementioned sources - takes place three months after the promoter opened an information procedure due to the comments made on the social network 'X' by the head of the Commercial Court number 11 of Madrid to establish the disciplinary scope of the events.

Specifically, Ruiz de Lara described President Sánchez as a "psychopath without ethical limits" and a "pathological narcissist." Subsequently, several media outlets echoed his messages after the socialist leader's inauguration.

Although the judge's 'X' profile - the former Twitter - now appears as canceled ("this account does not exist"), according to El País, he wrote the following message: "Who was going to tell us that a pathological narcissist was going to preside over us? "with clear traits of a psychopath without ethical limits, willing to do anything, even destroy the rule of law, to remain in Moncloa."

To that message he added another one: "It was logical that a pathological liar like Pedro Sánchez chose the pathological liar servant Félix Bolaños at the head of the Ministry of Justice so that he could manipulate, ignore the demands of the Council of Europe and continue the path of attacking the Judiciary. ".

After opening the proceedings, the promoter transferred the initiation agreement to the judge so that he could argue what he deemed appropriate.

It is worth remembering that this same judge, known for promoting the 'Super League' case, already had disciplinary proceedings opened in 2017 for organizing legal debates. Then, the CGPJ agreed to file the proceedings after investigating possible incompatibilities with his position.

The case against this judge was initiated for the possible commission of three disciplinary infractions: a very serious offense consisting of the exercise of activities incompatible with the position of judge or magistrate; another very serious offense of abuse of the status of judge to obtain favorable and unjustified treatment from authorities, officials and professionals; and a serious offense for the exercise of activities considered compatible with the position without having obtained the relevant authorization.
