The CAP of Cassà de la Selva doubles the number of consultations with the inauguration of the extension

Primary care in Cassà de la Selva (Girona) has doubled its number of consultations with the commissioning of the expansion of the CAP building, which has thus gone from 12 to 28, 21 of which are newly built.

The inauguration of the expansion of the Cassà de la Selva CAP took place with the visit of the Health Minister, Manel Balcells, who also took the opportunity to supervise the work being carried out in the surgical block of the Trueta hospital in Girona.

The expansion project has cost a total of 2.4 million euros, financed mostly by European Next Generation funds, which has not included the purchase of sanitary material and the planned renovation of the old building.

The works on the expansion of the Cassà de la Selva CAP began last August and have reduced their deadlines due to the joint contracting of the project and the work, as well as having advanced the manufacturing of elements that had to be installed later.

The expansion has occurred with the construction of a new building with 21 consultation rooms distributed over two floors, a waiting room with large windows that make it a very bright space, and which has been completed with the installation of solar panels for self-consumption.

This CAP of Cassà de la Selva serves the municipality itself as well as Llagostera, Caldes de Malavella, Quart, Riudellots de la Selva, Llambilles, Campllong and Sant Andreu de Salou, which currently involves a population of 35,480 people and about 42,000 para 2038, which required the expansion of this center.
