The Ayuntamiento de la Bisbal del Penedès (Baix Penedès) plans to invest 770,906.05 euros in the partial renovation of the water network in the core of the municipality, Priorat de la Bisbal and Esparcimiento.
Its mayor, Agnès Ferré, has explained that the council's desire is to reduce the deficiencies of the water network to the "maximum" to avoid "unnecessary losses" and to alleviate the problems of water cuts or pressure losses.
To finance part of the investment, they have requested help of 300,000 euros from the Department of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda. "We hope that the Generalitat grants us this subsidy to be able to cover part of the works," Ferré stated.
