The Badalona PSC warns of the escape of Guàrdia Urbana agents

The president of the municipal group of the PSC in the City Council of Badalona (North Barcelona), Fernando Carrera has assured that "five of the new agents of the Urban Guard have already left Badalona, according to the unions".

The socialist spokesperson details in a press release that two months ago, on September 29, the government presented the 23 new Urban Guard agents, from the promotion promoted by the PSC. Now, according to what they say, not even two months have passed and of the 23 agents, 5 have already left Badalona and other agents are considering leaving. He reports that some of the agents have asked to join another police force due to the current functioning of the Badalonese force and especially because of the working conditions of the police force's workers.

The head of the opposition in Badalona has warned the local government that "we may find ourselves with a rinse of the new agents due to the situation experienced by the police force." Carrera declares that "if five agents have already left in two months, we may find that more leave in the coming weeks" which would mean straining the Urban Police "even more", as reported by the PSU union. Carrera asks the PP government to publicly explain the situation of the new agents.
