Technicians from the City Council of Badalona (Barcelonès Nord), accompanied by agents from the Urban Guard of Badalona, proceeded this afternoon to seal off and inform that musical recreational activities cannot be carried out in the nave at calle de los Corders 17-21 , from the neighborhood of Canyadó.
This old warehouse, which had been dedicated to industrial mechanics, has been occupied for some time and the residents of the neighborhood have often complained about the parties (raves) that take place, with music for hours and at very high volume. This situation has sometimes led to security and coexistence conflicts in this area.
The mayor of Badalona, Xavier Garcia Albiol, has pointed out that: “the residents of Canyadó have the right to be able to sleep and rest, without having to endure the inconvenience caused by the parties that are held for hours by dozens of people, many of them coming from outside Badalona and with music at full volume.” "With the seal and the prohibition of this activity we have the legal coverage to prevent or completely cut off any illegal radish that takes place in this warehouse," the mayor concluded.
