The Andorran police have opened an investigation to clarify the causes of the death of a 41-year-old tourist from the province of Tarragona, whose body was found last Wednesday in the Arinsal river of the principality.

As reported by the Andorran police in a press release, the body has been identified, after comparing his fingerprints with those in the data banks of the National Police and the Civil Guard, with the collaboration of Interpol.

The lifeless body of the resident of Roda de Berà, in the province of Tarragona, who was on tourism in Andorra and was staying in a hotel near the Arinsal river, was found last Wednesday morning and, the next day, he was An autopsy was performed to try to determine the causes of death.

Following the discovery of the body, an Andorran court has opened an investigation and has commissioned the police to take the necessary steps to find out the causes of death and determine whether it could be a homicide or, on the contrary, the death was accidental.

According to what Diari d'Andorra published this Saturday, the victim was spending three days in the principality to ski and had to return to Catalonia on Thursday. The family had a last conversation with the deceased on Tuesday night.
